About the event
LATE NIGHT ZAPPING brings a seemingly mundane, everyday ritual into the concert hall: nighttime channel-surfing. As soon as prime time is over, the TV channels fill with strange and fragmented content—old black-and-white films, endless infomercials, fortune tellers, forgotten documentaries, or outdated music videos—creating an atmosphere that oscillates between fascination and irritation.
What is normally a solitary ritual is thus transformed into a collective experience, a shared evening in front of the screen. Absurdity and fascination alternate; repetition creates a peculiar hypnotic effect, while surprises and breaks keep the audience’s attention alert. The unintentional comedy of the television images blends with the seriousness of the live performance, and the confusion becomes an integral part of a game in which the boundaries between concert and TV night blur.
